Job summary

This is a great time to join The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as a Senior Pharmacy Assistant - Dispensing Services.

We are currently in the process of redeveloping the hospital to provide a new state-of-the-art hospital for the residents of Hillingdon, and beyond, which supports the very best in delivery of healthcare and will be fit for our future.Job summaryDispenses medicines to outpatients and inpatients.

Ensures good housekeeping in the dispensary by keeping benches and baskets clear of drugs no longer required.

Organises and maintains medicine supplies within the dispensary.

Resolution of stock issues according to departmental procedures.

Provide Pharmacy Dispensary support.

Deal with enquiries from patients and healthcare staff.

Undertakes related clerical duties.

Training & supervision.

Dispensing and patient counselling.

Provide a top up service of stock items to wards and departments where required

Cover reception for outpatients and inpatients requiring use of digital systems.

Competent in the use of the automated dispensing equipment and resolves operational
