Job summary

We are looking for candidates who have:

A person with a minimum of 2 years post graduate experience.

NHS experience at Band 5 level preferably with some experience in caring for patients with Neurological conditions.

Hard working, adaptable, possessing high-level communications skills and the ability to build strong relationships with key team members

To work on their own initiative and to embrace developmental opportunities

Must be highly committed to MDT working.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be expected to hold an out patient case load.If you are seeking to develop your skills in the area of neurology/ rehabilitation whilst maintaining a quality work/life balance then this post could be just what you are looking for. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Neurology nurse with excellent initiative and communication skills to join our well established multi-disciplinary team.

You will have excellent opportunities to develop specialist knowledge and skills working as a member of our integrated team you will be actively involved in acute assessment of Neurology inpatients and also be involved in discharge planning. In addition to a varied clinical caseload you will be responsible for the supervision and upskilling of nursing and medical colleagues to enhance the patient pathway and improve communication in an integrated way. You will have opportunities to contribute to service development projects and clinical audit.

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust's services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.
