P&OD Contracts & Systems Lead

Job summary

As an integral member of the P&OD team, the newly created role of Contracts & Systems Lead is responsible for managing the contractual arrangements across P&OD. Your focus will be working closely at the interface between the Trust and our current providers to manage the contract deliverables, which include, but is not limited to Temporary Staffing and Occupational Health.

The successful post holder will be responsible for:

  • Managing the relationships between our providers/partners. Owning and leading the day-to-day activities, planning and development of strategies.
  • Managing the relationships between Operational managers, P&OD team and the providers, ensuring that KPIs are met and supporting strategic projects to deliver an efficient and effective service.
  • Responsible for various HR workforce systems, working closely with Heads of Service across P&OD. These include systems linked to Rostering, Temporary Staffing, Employee Relations, and Recruitment.
  • Ensure that the daily operations of the contracted functions are performed to the highest standards by the provider.
  • Involved in driving forward the Trust's People Strategy.

Main duties of the job

The successful post holder will:

  • Manage the relationships between our providers/partners.
  • Be the link between the Trust and providers, owning and leading the day-to-day activities as well as planning and development of strategies.
  • Managing the relationships between the operational managers, P&OD team and the providers, ensuring that KPIs are met and supporting strategic projects to deliver an efficient and effective service.
  • Be the Trust's lead for all temporary staffing and occupational health activities, supporting to creatively identify ways of improving service efficiency and minimising spend.
  • Develop robust relationships to support the provider to challenge, support, coach and influence individuals in dealing with matters across all staff groups.

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust's services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.
