Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic professional to join our Trust Health and Safety Team as a Health and Safety Advisor.
The post holder will work with the Head of Trust Health and Safety and Health and Safety Manager to support and advise the Trust on health and safety matters across a wide range of settings, including clinical and non-clinical areas and to be a point of contact and competent advisor to staff and managers in this regard.
Main duties of the job
The ideal individual for this post will have at least a Level 3 Health and Safety qualification (e.g. NEBOSH Certificate). They will also be registered with a relevant professional body such as IOSH and/or IIRSM and have a proven track record advising on Health and Safety in a large complex organisation (preferably healthcare).
The individual must be able to work autonomously to support clinical and corporate services in identifying realistic solutions to health and safety issues and must have some demonstrable experience in training, mentoring and directly supervising other staff. In return, the role offers good development to someone looking to build a solid health and safety career.

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust's services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.
