Job summary
Applications are invited from suitable candidates for General Paediatric GPVTS post - for 6 months (with a possibility to extend to 12 months) to start from February 2024, to work in a friendly, well supported working environment, supporting learning and development of the candidate. This is a EWTD compliant full shift rota.
Candidates for this role must have full GMC registration with a licence to practise and recent experience within the NHS is desirable.
Main duties of the job
We provide a 24/7 consultant led service so you will be well supported at all times in the day/night. There are 9 speciality registrars (ST4+), and 14 paediatric speciality registrars (ST1-3).
The post holder will be expected to work in general paediatrics covering the ward, A&E, and Level 2 Neonatal Unit, post-natal ward, and attending deliveries in the Labour room.

We deal with 22,000 inpatients and 120,000 outpatients each year. We are linked to Imperial College Medical School receiving 6 at any one time forpaediatric clinical teaching.
