Job summary

An exciting opportunity for an Orthopaedic Trauma Clinical Nurse Specialist to support the orthopaedic department at the Hillingdon Hospital NHS Trust. We are seeking an experienced, passionate, dynamic, and forward-thinking individual to support the orthopaedic and trauma team. To ensure quality and safety of patients within the service and to ensure that a high standard of clinical care is always delivered by the entire multidisciplinary team. You would work autonomously to deliver specialist clinical orthopaedic care appropriate to the needs of the patient group and based on principles that are research based and which enhance the quality of patient care. Responsible for the facilitation of the planning, delivery, and evaluation of care pathways for a designated group of patients. Contribute to training and education within the services. Promote an innovative and progressive attitude to the continual improvement of patient care through Clinical pathways and reviewing the evidence base and embedding this in practice through engagement in research activities. Effective communication, a strong collaborative approach, and the ability to engage the multidisciplinary team within an ever changing, ever challenging environment is essential. You will have to confidently juggle and deliver on priorities and projects.

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services.
