Job summary
This is an exciting time to be joining Hillingdon Hospitals Foundation Trust. We are making considerable changes here to ensure that we provide our patients with a gold standard patient experience and this role is paramount to that end.
We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join the team. The Head of Patient Access will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and will play a vital role in leading the divisional management teams in the planning and delivery of improving the experience of patients.
Main duties of the job
Job Purpose:
- Accountable to the Divisional Director of Operations and to ensure Patient Access vision of supporting patient flow, pathway and experience is enhanced and managed effectively and both strategic and operational demands are met
- To work alongside Divisional Director of Operations in development and delivery of strategic vision and ensure changes meet internal and external expectations and standards
- To work alongside Divisional Director of Operations in partnership with the Divisional Managers, Clinical Leads, Clinical Leads - Consultants and Nursing teams in operational delivery, of quality, performance, productivity, financial and workforce targets, and utilisation of theatres and outpatient clinics across both hospital sites
- To take responsibility and lead divisional teams including service and performance managers to ensure efficient and effective delivery of high quality patient centred services, strategic planning and development, and change programmes
- Lead and take responsibility for implementing and managing systems and processes to ensure services are delivered in accordance with Trust policies and standards

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust's services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.
