Job summary

Trust SHO Medicine (Acute Medicine, Diabetes and Endocrinology, Care of the Elderly, Gastroenterology and General Medicine) Start date - August 2022

The post holder will work within a Medical Speciality Team, with responsibility for acute admissions to the team and care of ward patients.

Main duties of the job

These posts have become available due to the Deanery being unable to fill training posts and a recently established Trust SHO programme to support the Medical Teams and Medical oncall rota. However as the posts are filled locally, they will not be recognised for training.

These posts would suit junior doctors with prior NHS experience who wish to gain further experience in a busy, friendly District General Hospital, at SHO or Senior SHO level, particularly those wishing to pursue Acute Medicine, Endocrinology, Care of the Elderly or Gastroenterology specialty training.

Prior experience of working in the NHS is mandatory for this post.

Mount Vernonalso hosts the North and East Hertfordshire Cancer Centre which our patients use.
