Administrator Team Lead for Paediatric Community Service

Job summary

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced administrator to lead a small team of administrators within our paediatric community service in Enfield. The team works directly to the Child Development Team and is accountable to the Service Lead.

This post will suit a candidate who has leadership experience or is ready to take the next step in their career.

This post is an on-site position, however flexible working can be considered for the right candidate.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be the point of contact for all administrative issues relating to Paediatrics. The post holder is expected to apply expert knowledge of patient pathway and administrative procedures to provide supervision and leadership in the delivery of a high quality, effective and efficient service for both the multidisciplinary team and patients, with a focus on delivering a positive patient experience, and excellent customer service.

The post holder will be required to work closely with other members of the administrative team and clinical teams, including managers, administrators, nursing and medical staff, allied health professionals and support workers and liaise with a range of staff internally and externally across the Trust and with partner and external organisations.

In addition, as the most senior member of the specialty administration function, the post holder will take on delegated duties from divisional management team members.

About us

The North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust is a medium-sized acute and community trust with over 525 beds and over 600 community staff, serving more than 600,000 people living across Enfield and Haringey and the surrounding areas, including Barnet and Waltham Forest.

The hospital has been on its present site for over 100 years and was established as an NHS trust by statute in December 1990. The Trust's services are provided on the North Middlesex University Hospital site as well as a range of community sites across the London Borough of Enfield, including at partner hospitals. They provide services in collaboration with a range of partners, including local GPs, acute, mental health and other community health service providers across North Central London.

In the year ending 31 March 2022, the Trust reported a turnover of £419.7m and employed almost 4,000 staff. Following the transfer of Enfield Community Services on 1st April 2023, this has increased as we have welcomed over 600 new staff including District Nurses, Community Matrons, Community Physiotherapists, Psychologists and many more across a wide range of adult and children's community services in Enfield.   • Strong working knowledge and proficient in the use of Outlook package - Power point, Excel, Microsoft Word as well as Access, Somerset, CIP and Cancer Alliance
  • Experience of Partnership working

Desirable

  • Knowledge of medical terminology
