Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a compassionate and caring neonatal nurse to join our well established and friendly neonatal multidisciplinary team.

We are a Local Neonatal Unit within the busy in North Central & East London Operational Delivery Neonatal Network and actively participate in Network groups and business.We are passionate about working in partnership with parents and delivering safe family centered care. Our Neonatal unit has 24 cots, which is comprised of 2 intensive cots, 6 high dependency cots and 16 special care costs. Designated LNU, (Level 2) we provide excellent care for preterm babies from 27 weeks' gestation and for sick new-born babies. We provide stabilization for babies at born at lower gestations prior to transfer to NICU.In order to apply you need to be RN/RSCN/RM with neonatal qualifications and skills. You will be joining a team who work a variety of shifts including internal rotation to night duty, weekends and bank holidays. Main duties of the job

The role requires you to deliver high standard holistic care to all babies allocated to you.

You will be expected to maintain a high standard of clinical work when carrying out nursing procedures.

You will also be responsible for the safe custody of medication, including checking and administration.

You will need to ensure compliance with our clinical governance framework, and champion service user safety and dignity and drive continuous improvement.

The 0-19 service aims to improve pathways and partnerships with services in the hospital and deliver excellent care for the children and families.

  • Evidence of continuous professional development within the speciality linked to demonstrable clinical competencies

  • NLS provider certificate
