If you are a student nurse who will qualify in 2024 whose clinical placements have been within North Central London (NCL) health and care organisations we offer you our Capital Nurse simple 5-step graduate guarantee to take you to your first qualified nursing post.

  1. Guaranteed interview following your application
  2. No assessment other than a short values-based interview based on North Mid values and the values of the NHS
  3. A conditional offer will be given to you the next working day following your interview
  4. You will be supported by a 1 year Capital Nurse Preceptorship programme
  5. Opportunity to work as a band 3 Healthcare Support Worker after successful completion of your degree programme until your NMC registration is confirmed (local variation may apply) Please note you are required to complete your clinical and academic placements before commencing as a Band 3.

North Middlesex University Hospital is one of London's busiest acute hospitals, serving more than 350,000 people living in Enfield and Haringey and the surrounding areas, including Barnet and Waltham Forest.

  • NMC registered Nurse or nearing qualification.
  • Willingness to undertake NMUH Preceptorship programme post registration.

Skills

  • Patient centred in all aspects, acts as an advocate for patient.
  • Recent clinical experience in General Medical/Surgical or Elderly care setting.
  • Experience of working within a team
  • Knowledge of the principles of equality and diversity to be applied to clinical and workplace practice in relationships with service users, their relatives, carers and colleagues.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Experience

  • Maintain accurate, appropriate records, in line with NMC guidelines.
  • Have experience of working with patients who may be confused or exhibit challenging behavior.

Desirable

  • Wide range of experience across health and or social care setting relative to qualification.
