Main duties of the job
This exciting post requires a compassionate and resourceful chaplain with significant pastoral experience We are looking for those who wish to pursue the development of a high standard of pastoral, spiritual and religious care for patients, staff, and families at North Mid where we are committed on our journey to delivering an outstanding patient experience.
About us
The post-holder will be an integral member of a strong and supportive ecumenical and multi faith Spiritual Care - Chaplaincy Team serving the hospital and Enfield and Haringey communities. The on call (if required) is one/two days per week at present.

Essential
- Recognised theological/pastoral training to degree level or equivalent e.g. Islamic studies
- Acceptable to the Catholic diocesan authorities to act as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion
- Acceptable, within Churches Together in Britain and Ireland (CTBI), for appointment by the appropriate Church, or by other religious or belief body
- Significant experience of chaplaincy in acute/mental health NHS context
- Adherence with UKBHC Code of Conduct
- Aware of professional developments in chaplaincy
- Deep spirituality/ability to reflect exercised by spiritualdirection and/or ministerial/other supervision
- Engagedin professional development for self and others
- Open inclusive theology/philosophy, respecting alternative worldviews
Desirable
- Master's level education
- Further studies relating to chaplaincy/ counselling/ pastoral care
- Current membership of UKBHC
- Experience of training in aspects of spirituality in healthcare contexts
