Please note if your employment starts before the 24/25 pay scales are implemented you will be paid under the 23/24 pay scales and any backpay will be adjusted accordingly. An opportunity has arisen for a full time Clinic Co-Ordinator to join the Foot and Ankle team at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital to support the Unit and team in all administrative tasks / electronic referral system / Overseeing the follow up appointments / Typing.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking an experienced administrator who has previous or current knowledge with hospital processes or similar, which includes: ? Electronic Via Pathpoint & ERS referral registration ? Tertiary referrals ? Knowledge of booking outpatient appointments ? Electronic scanning of patients notes You must have admirable communication skills, be able to work effectively in a multi - disciplinary team, using your own initiative when prioritizing your workload as well as being able to lead and maintain high standards of care alongside our trust values. You should be able to work well under pressure and be able to multi-task in this busy but friendly working environment

Job responsibilities

The post holder will be expected to work within a multi-disciplinary unit and deal with patient queries, transcription of clinical dictation and all associated administrative duties in an efficient and timely manner. Full administrative service to the Foot & Ankle Units and all users of this service. Reschedule outpatient appointments in the event of clinic cancellations, annual leave & study leave, to include requesting or cancelling of clinic rooms. Setting up new ad-hoc clinics for ad-hoc activity Manage follow up waiting list ensuring appropriate patients booked in keeping with RTT 18 week pathway chase imaging is ready as appropriate.

Assist Pathway Scheduler to ensure Post-Operative appointments are booked appropriately in line with dates for patient admissions. Attend Clinic Utilisation Meeting on a weekly basis Deal with incoming telephone and written enquiries promptly and efficiently. Record all in- coming post, including registration of patient referrals. Work alongside colleague in a busy team including proving cross-cover to ensure a high quality of service is maintained at all times between 8am and 6pm by local arrangement. Undertake filing and scanning of correspondence, clinic notes, test results etc in the appropriate patient notes. Maintain patient information on all systems used within the unit as appropriate.
