Job summary

Digital Application Analyst

Fixed Term Contract for 12 months

We are looking for an experienced NHS applications support professional who is able to provide excellent customer service and is keen to help support and promote innovation and improvement programmes in the Trust. You will take part in the support, maintenance and enhancement of clinical and non-clinical applications that will directly benefit patient care.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide expert support for the systems managed by the Applications team which provides services for users of the Trust's key clinical information systems.

  • Have experience in supporting users in the use of complex clinical/administrative systems within a systems application support team
  • Have strong experience in managing and developing complex NHS IT systems, preferablyin secondary care or shared service settings
  • Have sound knowledge of issues concerning Data Quality
  • Have sound knowledge of the Patient Journey in a complex Trust
  • Knowledge of ICS/ ICE/ NoteOn/ C scribe/ Vocera is preferred.

The successful candidate will have a keen interest in furthering their career in information technology and have managed Patient Administration Systems and/or other clinical or administrative departmental applications.

  • Degree level qualification or equivalent 2 year's experience in managing and developing complex
  • NHS IT systems, preferably in secondary care or shared service settings

Desirable

  • Professional IT certification e.g. ITIL, MCP

  • Hands-on experience within an NHS clinical and administrative systems applications support team
  • Hands-on experience working in the support of complex NHS clinical and administrative applications /systems
  • Experience in training users in use of NHS complex clinical and administrative systems
  • Strong experience in managing and improving complex NHS IT systems, preferably in secondary care or shared service settings
  • Experience making recommendations for IT change and optimisation to ensure continuous service improvement
  • Have sound knowledge of the Patient Journey in a complex NHS Trust
  • Knowledge of ICS/ ICE/ NoteOn/ C scribe/ Vocera is preferred.
