Job summary
We are looking to recruit an ESR / Payroll Specialist at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust.
The post holder will ensurethe smooth running of the outsourced payroll service by working closely with HR, Finance and Shared Business Services (SBS) Payroll and act as the primary interface and liaison between RNOH and SBS.
Main duties of the job
To manage the contract with SBS and oversee executed KPI's and ensure the smooth running of the outsourced payroll service by working closely with HR, Finance and Shared Business Services (SBS) Payroll & HR, and acting as the primary interface and liaison between RNOH and SBS.
To identify and develop processes that will ensure the continuous improvement of payroll accuracy and customer satisfaction.
To support the Business Partner Workforce Services and provide expert ESR and payroll support to the HR, Resourcing, Temporary Staffing and Medical Resourcing team including the provision of complex payroll calculations, advice on terms and conditions, contracts and assisting with the delivery of HR/Payroll projects.

- Educated to degree/masters level or equivalent work experience.
- NVQ Level 5 / IPPM qualified or equivalent knowledge and experience
- English/Mathematics and A level or equivalent academic qualifications
Desirable
- Further qualification in a maths or payroll specialism
Knowldege & Skills
Essential
- Expert Knowledge of HR / Payroll systems
- Expert knowledge of AfC, Whitley Council, NHS terms & conditions.
- Advanced skills in IT systems, in particular in depth knowledge of ESR Payroll system
Desirable
- Knowledge of Oracle ESR BI report writing
