An exciting opportunity to join our growing Private Care team at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital near Stanmore. Based within this international centre of excellence, Private Care offers a purpose designed 18 bedded unit.

This is nursing as it should be .As a Ward manager, you're registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, your specialist expertise should be in Orthopaedic. You will have experience of working in and managing independent care sector or NHS PPU.

Main duties of the job

The Ward Manager is the leader of the nursing team and professional role model, mentor and coach. They are essential in ensuring high quality of care within the budget and ensuring good patient experience.

The post holder will also have:o 24-hour responsibility for the provision of clinical care and standards on the ward.o Responsible for co-ordinating and make effective use of staff, supervise staff and ensure training is maintained.o Ensure adequate staffing levels and provide clinical leadership for staff.o Act as a role model and leader to nursing staffo Ensure cost effective use of resourceso On-Call Rota as required

About us

Private Patient activity in the Trust is undertaken at Stanmore and Bolsover Street,Dedicated Private Patient facilities includeo Private Care Ward consists of 18 single rooms with ensuite bathrooms, and a dedicated ward gymo Private rooms based on our children's unit so any young patients will be looked after in an environment entirely suited to their needs.o Private Care Consulting Rooms. The Trust's Private Outpatient facility is based at Stanmore. There are currently four consulting rooms , one ultrasound room and three rooms for pre-assessment

Private outpatients are also seen at Bolsover Street in central London
