Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Community Paediatric Dietetic Service in Enfield. This permanent part-time post (18.75 hours per week) sits within a friendly, supportive and skilled team working across Enfield Children's Community Services.
You will join a dynamic and expanding service committed to delivering high-quality, child-centred care, improving outcomes and developing innovative approaches to dietetic support. The role includes contributing to service development and shaping future models of care.
The post holder will assess, advise and monitor children and young people in primary care, supporting a wide range of nutritional and feeding needs, including obesity, feeding and eating difficulties, and faltering growth. Clinics are primarily based at Cedar House, with additional group education sessions and workshops for children, young people and families.
Collaboration is key to this role, working closely with families, schools, multidisciplinary colleagues and community services. New ideas and service improvements are encouraged, and you will play an active role in the ongoing modernisation of the service.

Main duties of the job
- Assessments of the patients' needs and making clinical decisions regarding the necessary nutrition support and dietary interventions for all patients on the caseload.
- To develop and deliver educational group sessions to paediatric patients (0-19) and their families within the borough of Enfield.
- To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner, holding the responsibility for own caseload of patients.
- To undergo supervision and development support in the form of regular individual and team supervision sessions as part of the wider dietetic team.
- To undertake evidence-based audit and or research projects to further own and team's clinical practice with support and guidance from more senior staff.
- Make recommendations to clinical lead/manager of service for changes to practice by the team. May contribute to the implementation of specific changes to practice or contribute to service protocols.
- To be aware of and to highlight to the line manager any clinical governance issues pertaining to the role and practice.
