Job summary

The Trust is seeking a highly motivated Consultant Diagnostic General Radiologist with a dedicated sub-specialty interest in Urological Imaging. This is a substantive, 10-PA post (8.5 DCC / 1.5 SPA) involving cross-site working between Barnet Hospital and the Royal Free Hospital, Hampstead. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team to deliver world-class expertise and support the registrar training programme.

On-Call: General radiology rota at the Royal Free site, currently at a 1:18 frequency.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will balance specialist urological clinical duties with general departmental requirements.

Key responsibilities include: Clinical Excellence: Competently interpreting and reporting Uroradiology studies independently.MDT Leadership: Leading and presenting at Uro/Oncology Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings.

Service Support: Providing ultrasound (USS) support for the sonography service and general workload contributions.

Education & Supervision: Managing and training specialty trainees, medical students, and other junior staff.

Governance: Participating in clinical audits, annual appraisals, and revalidation processes
