Consultant in Lysosomal Storage Disorders and Cardiomyopathies in Systemic Diseases (CISD).
The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant with expertise in Lysosomal Storage Disorders (LSDs) and Cardiomyopathies in Systemic Diseases (CISD) to join the internationally recognised Lysosomal Storage Disorders Unit (LSDU).
This is a rare opportunity to work within one of the UK's leading centres for rare metabolic disease, delivering unique, integrated, consultant-led care for adults with LSDs and related cardiomyopathies.
We are seeking a clinician with a strong background in:
Lysosomal storage disorders and related rare cardiomyopathies
Cardiology, including expertise in CMR reporting
Delivering high-quality patient-centred care
An enthusiasm for advancing clinical services and research in rare diseases.
Main duties of the job
Lead in the care of adults with lysosomal storage disorders and related cardiomyopathies.
Contribute to specialist clinics, national and cross-centre MDTs, and cardiac MRI (CMR) reporting.
Collaborate with expert teams across cardiology, genetics, nephrology, neurology, respiratory, orthopaedics, and other specialties.
Support research, audit, governance, teaching, and service development.
Help shape national pathways of care and contribute to guideline development.
