Royal Free is recruiting for a Deputy Director of Financial Performance (Corporate Finance) to support the Director of Finance. This would ideally suit an ambitious and dynamic candidate who is looking for the next challenging role which will allow them to gain exposure of working in a large acute trust with a group model that is continually evolving and growing
The Deputy Director of Financial Performance is a key stakeholder in the Corporate Leadership team. The post holder will be responsible for the development and delivery of financial strategy for the Corporate Directorates to ensure long term viability and financial stability of the Group, supporting the implementation of a sound financial framework and effective arrangements for financial governance.
Main duties of the job
The Corporate Finance function holds all non-clinical group wide services within the Royal Free Group. This includes Corporate services, Estates and Facilities, Property Services and Research & Development. Corporate Finance is responsible for an expenditure budget of c£500m, almost 20% of the Groups overall spend. As such, ensuring the integrity of the financial position and providing value add financial services to corporate stakeholders is essential, not just to delivery of the corporate finance position, but also overall delivery of the group wide plan.
The post holder will provide financial leadership to the Corporate directorate's leadership team in developing implementing and monitoring the financial plan. Aligned to this, the post holder will support the delivery of improved financial efficiency of the Corporate directorates.
