The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse to join our community palliative care team based at the Royal Free Hospital site and covering the North Camden area. We are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated and enthusiastic nurse with a genuine interest in palliative care, along with a commitment to continuous learning, teamwork and mutual support.A full-time (37.5h/week) band 5 Staff Nurse post has arisen. This opportunity will prove invaluable experience for those looking to develop their career in palliative care.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide a responsive service Mon-Sun 9am-5pm for patients in North Camden community with specialist palliative care and end of life care needs. All care given will be under the supervision of the Clinical Nurse Specialists, Palliative Medicine Consultants and Consultant Nurse. They will, with supervision, provide advice, education and support to patients, their carers and other health and social care professionals. They will contribute to the development and smooth running of the service. The post holder will work to agreed professional, departmental and Trust boundaries as required to provide patient centred seamless care.
