Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Band 6/7 physiotherapist who has a passion for 'Home First', frailty and admission avoidance to join the Rapids in Emergency and Acute Medicine (REAM) Team. This is a diverse and rapidly evolving clinical specialty area both nationally and locally, with excellent opportunities to develop both as a clinician and Team Lead.
Main duties of the job
? Responsible for providing clinical leadership to a highly specialist therapy service in the Emergency Department (ED), Adult Assessment Unit (AAU), Medical Assessment Unit (MAU) and winter ward.? To participate in daily operational activities and management, planning and implementation and direction of the ED, AAU, MAU and winter ward in conjunction with the clinical lead.? To provide professional support to qualified staff, students and support staff.? To be involved in the strategic planning and policy development for the REAM service and deputise for the Clinical Lead where necessary.? The post holder requires highly advanced time management and prioritisation skills in order to manage frequent interruptions of job tasks during the working day and to balance clinical and operational duties, including service development and quality improvement.?
