Job summary

We are looking for an audiologist with excellent clinical and organisational skills to join our busy and friendly team based at Chase Farm and Barnet Hospitals. You will offer a patient-centred approach and will have direct involvement in shaping the way that we work on a day-to-day basis. You will be responsible for ensuring that our service users' needs are met through the delivery of high-quality care.We provide a comprehensive range of clinics including:

o Diagnostic hearing assessmento Hearing aid fittingso Hearing aid repairs and follow-upso Diagnostic support for ENT

Main duties of the job

??The role involves working as part of a team to provide a comprehensive Audiology service that includes rehabilitation and diagnostic services.??To work unsupervised, following an agreed period of induction within the Audiology department under the line management of the Chief Audiologist and Head of Audiology.??To work as part of a team to provide a comprehensive Audiology and Hearing Therapy service that includes diagnostic and rehabilitation services to adults.??To rotate through all Audiology services managed by the Royal Free NHS Trust, including satellite, outreach services and collaborative work with third sector organisations.??To work within National and local set guidelines and protocols in the Department.??The post holder will ensure the delivery of safe and effective routine Audiology and assessment and rehabilitation to adult and patients and assessments of paediatric patients.??The post holder must maintain continuous professional development whilst working towards higher levels of professional competence.??The post holder will work with the Head of Service to ensure that clinical and professional standards are maintained at all times.??To ensure the department continues to meet national targets.??To contribute, when required, to areas of clinical audit, research and clinical governance for the Audiology service and contributing to the development of evidence based protocols.??To support the service to obtain and maintain quality standard accreditation (IQIPS)
