Royal Free NHS Foundation Trust Senior Clinical Fellow in Gastroenterology

This is a fixed term post and has been designed to provide the experience and education necessary to allow Doctors to progress in Gastroenterology.
Main duties of the job
The position of Senior Clinical Fellow in Gastroenterology is a 12-month fixed term post as a Trust Doctor (IMT3+ equivalent) at Barnet Hospital, London starting in August 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic fellow that wishes to improve their knowledge in gastrointestinal and endoscopy working in a dynamic, supportive and productive team.
The post holder will provide care for inpatients under gastroenterology and provide advice and support to other medical teams caring for patients with gastrointestinal conditions within the hospital. There will also be the opportunity for endoscopy training and outpatient clinics
This post is suitable for a trainee with IMT experience who wishes to gain more experience in Gastroenterology and would provide excellent preparation for a candidate considering an application for Gastroenterology specialty training. Although not a training post per se, the focus within our department is strongly on developing our junior doctors and the post holder will be able to access similar educational opportunities within the hospital as our training registrars. There will be an opportunity to undertake educational, academic or quality improvement projects whilst in post.
The post-holder will be supervised by the Gastroenterology clinical lead.
