Job summary
The successful applicant will join an innovative and expert team within the Royal Free NHS Foundation Trust, the post holder will be primarily based at the echocardiography service at Finchley Memorial Hospital which is known for being a well-established Community Diagnostic Centre. There will be opportunities to rotate through all the sites for training and development purposes.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to:
Demonstrate expertise in echocardiography ensuring that the service model provides demonstrably high-quality patient care within financial and clinical targets.
Demonstrate working knowledge of the full range of investigations.
Demonstrate leadership qualities, provide support to junior team members and carry out organisational and supervisory duties.
Participate in developing shift rotas, including weekend work.
Demonstrate a professional approach to patient care and be able to communicate with patients clearly.
Effectively communicate within the Community Diagnostic Centre's and other departments throughout the Trust.
About us
Finchley Memorial Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC), occasional requirement to attend other Royal Free London sites as well as CDC at Wood Green, Monday to Sunday, from 8am to 8pm.
Finchley Memorial CDC works in close collaboration with its sister site Wood Green CDC, hosted by Whittington Health NHS Trust. As the service develops there is a potential requirement for staff working at either site to cross cover.
The CDC operates a 7 day, working week Excluding Bank Holidays from the hours of 08:00 - 2000.
We operate a shift system with 12 hour shifts available as well as 7.5-hour shifts. All staff must rotate through the week with weekend work as part of the rota.
