Within the paediatric ED, we have been eagerly increasing the simulation teaching where an active team of facilitators and equipment resources exist. The successful candidate will be involved in expanding the provision of education in the service and help develop more MDT learning opportunities within all relevant specialties.

The paediatric department is committed to training and education, and is recognised as one of the best training sites in London, winning the RCPCH 'PAFTA' for best training centre in 2017 and 2020. The successful applicant will be encouraged to attend weekly paediatric teaching and regional training days, and will also be expected to contribute to the provision of teaching to members of the multidisciplinary team. The trust runs major resuscitation courses and has a newly refurbished simulation suite with an active ED simulation faculty. The department has a strong drive towards Quality Improvement to shape the future of the department through guideline and pathway development and project work, with supported training for this.
