Job summary
The post holder will be predominantly working on the Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) trials within Theme 1 - Oncology Research department. The post holder requires robust clinical and research knowledge due to the demanding and complex nature of the portfolio, which includes studies necessitating strong clinical skills, including the administration of Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT).
Main duties of the job
Post holder will maintain a day to day oversight of the setup of new clinical trials and logistical management of open trials. Responsibilities will include line management and development of research nurses/clinical trial practitioners, data managers. The post holder will manage their own portfolio of clinical trial data and adequately support the research delivery team, liaise with relevant clinical trial sponsor representatives to ensure smooth set up of clinical trials, to liaise with internal service support departments in relation to research, to work with the Lead Research Manager (LRM) to ensure the trial portfolio is delivered in practice.
