An excellent opportunity has arisen for a clinical fellow in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery at the Hampstead site of the Royal Free Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This post is for a 1-year fixed term.

There will be weekend working. There is currently no obstetrics or on-call component, but this is subject to change as the requirements in the department changes.

Qualifications and Registration
Essential
- Full registration with the relevant medical council (e.g., GMC or equivalent).
- Completion of Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) or an equivalent qualification
- Eligibility to work at the level of a senior trainee, post-CCT fellow, or equivalent.
Experience
Essential
- Training in general gynaecological surgery, including diagnostic laparoscopy and hysteroscopy
- Demonstrable interest in minimally invasive gynaecology with a commitment to learning advanced techniques
- Basic knowledge of endometriosis management, including an understanding of the NICE guidelines, diagnostic pathways, and multidisciplinary approaches to care
Skills and Competencies
Essential
- Basic competency in diagnostic laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, with a willingness to advance to operative procedures under supervision
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Sound clinical judgment and decision-making skills, appropriate to level of training
- o Awareness of patient-centered approaches in the management of complex conditions such as endometriosis, including the importance of addressing physical, psychological, and quality-of-life aspects
