Job summary

A GMP scientist position is available within the Centre for Cell, Gene & Tissue Therapeutics. The post holder will be responsible for supporting a new, GMP-compliant lentiviral manufacturing facility in brand new, purpose-built clean rooms and assisting the development and implementation of novel intermediate scale lentiviral manufacturing techniques in suspension cell bioreactors.

The Post Holder will be responsible for supporting the process development team transfer the process to GMP.

The post holder will also help to develop new downstream purification and packaging systems

Main duties of the job

What you'll do:

  • Develop and implement cutting-edgelentiviral production techniques usingstate-of-the-art production equipment.
  • Play a key role in building and qualifying a GMP process from the ground up.
  • Conduct and develop analytical assays for viral vectors, including flow cytometry, sterility testing, and qPCR.
  • Analyse and interpret complex batch data, contributing to process optimisation.
  • Maintain lab equipment and contribute to a compliant and efficient lab environment.
