We are delighted to advertise this exciting opportunity for a Surgical Appliances and Orthotics Senior Assistant primarily covering Royal Free Hospital with occasional working at Barnet and Chase Farm hospital sites.We are looking for someone who has experience of supervising staff members, and who also is able, or willing to be trained to supply and fit a range of off the shelf orthotics including surgical hosiery and breast prosthesis.

Our department is looking for someone who is dedicated to providing the best care to our patientsto join our welcoming team.Previous experience working with Orthotics is desirable for this role.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic individual to work within our busy service. You will be supported in this role by the Orthotics manager - working closely to develop and progress the Orthotics department.

This role will require the successful applicant to work at the Orthotics department at Royal Free with occasional cross site working between Barnet and Chase Farm hospitals. The successful applicant will also provide Orthotic clinics to our patients - including Surgical Hosiery and Breast prostheses. This is a very diverse role which requires the ability to balance a variety of administrative tasks along with clinical responsibilities. You will have excellent communication skills, be adaptable to different environments and provide excellent support to our Orthotics team. Cross cover is essential and on occasion you will be required to travel to different sites.
