Job summary

We are an in-house NHS transformation service supporting London's NHS organisations/partners to deliver service improvement & transformation in line with the NHS long-term plan. We operate as a consultancy service, run by the NHS for the NHS (based at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust), providing high-quality bespoke project delivery & advisory services to a wide range of organisations across health & social care.

Our consultants bring their extensive public, private and third sector experience to bear on the NHS's most complex problems, as we advise, deliver and support bespoke portfolio, programme and project management solutions and end-to-end transformation services.

We are looking to recruit people who are creative, collaborative, resilient and motivated to make a difference to our customers and the wider health and social care sector. Experience of working in health or social care would be an advantage but we also welcome people with transferable skills and experience.

In this varied, exciting and challenging role you'll be expected to work on and support a range of work:

  • Commissioned project/programme work for our clients, including planning and resourcing

  • Delivering quality outputs across multiple projects, on time and to budget

  • Developing relationships with clients and across multi-disciplinary project delivery teams

  • Business development work and identifying opportunities where TPHC can help new and existing clients.

Main duties of the job

You will be able to apply your consulting skills to the full, often helping clients bridge the gap between what they ask for and what they need. A confident negotiator, you will be comfortable operating at a senior level and will have the ability to engage with and influence leaders across the NHS and the wider health and care landscape.

You will be an expert in your field (for junior roles, this can be an area of development) and experienced in project and programme management. You can communicate via multiple media methods, and you are confident dissecting and disseminating complex data, presenting to a wide audience which will include stakeholders from across and outside the NHS.

We have vacancies across a range of generalist roles including:

  • Senior Consultants (band 8c)
  • Consultants (band 8a or 8b depending on experience)

  • Junior Consultants (band 6 or 7 depending on experience).

There are openings for each role. Please only apply for one role. If you are unsure of which role to apply for, please have a conversation with us rather than submit multiple applications.

If you are applying as a subject matter expert (SME) please focus your application on bringing this to light in the context of broader requirements of the role.

About us

Our commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion:

At TPHC we champion diversity and inclusion, and we are committed to recognising and valuing individual differences and the contributions of all people. In line with our equality, diversity and inclusion commitments, we would love to see applications from LGBTQ+ people, people of colour/those from ethnically diverse communities, disabled people and people with caring responsibilities.

Interviews and assessments:

If you are successfully shortlisted, you will be invited to take part in an assessment (virtual) and if successful in the assessment you will be invited to interview (in person).

Should you require any assistance or adjustments to support your application or the interview/assessment process, such as accommodating neurodiversity with additional time for tasks, meeting panellists beforehand or a different interview format, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
