Main duties of the job

We are pleased to offer an opportunity for an experienced Optometrist to join our friendly team of Orthoptists, Optometrists and Ophthalmic vision Scientists on bank. This can be of full-time or part time bank hours. You will be based at the Royal Free hospital. The successful candidate will work in paediatric Ophthalmology, Orthoptics and Glaucoma clinics and will offerOptometric support integral to the care patients at the Royal Free Hospital . You will have opportunity to gain valuable experience in a well-supported environment, working with cases in the following: Paediatric strabismus, Neuro ophthalmology, Adult oculomotility,Glaucoma and Stroke clinics You will be working as part of a specialist multidisciplinary team and will be involved in the relevant MDT and Orthoptic CPD meeting that we are very proud of. You will be encouraged to participate in clinical governance and audit activities within the team.Applicants must have previous experience in Optometry, demonstrate that they work well within teams and deliver clinical leadership in Optometry. As well as having excellent communication and prioritisation skills and a commitment to continuing professional development.
