Job summary
This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician with an enthusiasm for working with this client group to join our busy community CAMHS Eating Disorders Service. We are a multidisciplinary team, and we work closely with our partner agencies, and there is excellent support within each professional group, and good opportunities for training and development in this specialist area.
The primary role will be to provide a child psychotherapy service and to participate in the delivery of FTAN, Anorexia Nervosa Focused Family Therapy (for which training will be given) in the Royal Free Eating Disorders Service. The role comprises providing specialist assessment and treatment, offering advice and consultation on patients' psychological care to non-psychotherapeutic colleagues and to other non-professional carers, working autonomously within professional guidelines and within the overall framework of the Service's policies and procedures.
We have additional funding to expand our CAMHS Eating Disorders Intensive Service.
Successful candidates will work as part of our community team, and will also contribute to service development.
Main duties of the job
Providing a Child Psychotherapy Service, Family Therapy for Anorexia (FT-AN), and other therapeutic interventions, to children and young people with eating disorders and their carers as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Working with the professional network around a child.
Participating in the team's duty triage and assessment system.
