Job summary
The Senior Pharmacist- Clinical, Education & Training assists the Principal Pharmacists, in managing and co-ordinating both the clinical pharmacy and education and training services at the Barnet Hospital Site.
Main duties of the job
Duties include:
- Leading on the training and induction of clinical pharmacy staff, ensuring they are adequately trained and supported to carry out their duties at ward level
- To act as the Educational Programme Director for the Post Graduate Diploma in General Pharmacy Practice at Barnet Hospital.
- To act as the pharmacy simulation lead for Barnet Hospital.
- Collaborating with other senior staff to ensure the delivery of an integrated pharmacy service, assisting with the implementation of strategic plans for the development of junior staff.
- Participating in medicine related clinical audits, research and development and development of trust-wide guidelines
- Supporting the delivery of Continuing Professional Development programme for pharmacists.
- Co-ordination of education and training given by pharmacy to other healthcare professionals
To support the implementation of the Pharmacy Workforce Plan.
