Job summary
The Release Manager's role will manage all testing of Trust clinical and patient systems, primarily the core EPR solution. They will be responsible for ensuring that all upgrades and new functionality are fully tested.
The post holder will be responsible for managing the test strategy which has a constant throughput of testing activities across clinical systems. Seamless upgrades of these clinical systems is their primary responsibility.
The post holder will be key in all change programmes and will ensure that the systems technical delivery on clinical and operational objectives.
The post holder will need to communicate a wide range of highly complex, and sometimes sensitive issues to relevant staff, both internal and external to the Trust. They will attend high level meetings to convey their testing expertise and ideal process guidelines to large groups. Able to generate comprehensive test status reports for stake holders. Able to communicate testing progress, issues, and results to stakeholders.
An in-depth knowledge of testing strategy is essential as is excellent resource and time management. They will be accustomed to strict change control protocols, documentation, testing and support processes. They will have good knowledge of Cerner Millennium (Oracle Health).
As the Trust grows and integration becomes an ever-greater part of our business, the successful applicant will need to interpret highly complex problems and scenarios before catering for testing solutions.
