Job summary
The primary objectives of Digital Services are to enhance the quality and efficiency of healthcare delivery while also safeguarding the financial sustainability of the Trust.
In alignment with these objectives, the individual in this role will be accountable for ensuring the successful execution of all test phases, including overall oversight of Trust User Acceptance Testing.
This position encompasses various facets of the Test Life Cycle, requiring the design, development, and execution of test solutions using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure the successful deployment of applications within Digital Services.
The individual in this role is expected to possess an in-depth understanding of the Trust's processes, coupled with substantial experience in testing, enabling them to effectively contribute to the achievement of Digital Services' goals.
Main duties of the job
- Develop test scenarios and test scripts for system, integration, interfaces, information reporting, data migration and user acceptance testing.
- Gain an understanding of all projects and project specifications/requirements.
- Assist the Test Manager with developing test plans, assessing the resource requirements, timelines and defining the acceptance criteria, including the involvement of clinical and non-clinical resources
- Co-ordinate and lead testing activities including liaison with internal teams and third parties for all testing phases, including data migration, regression, unit, performance/load testing and user acceptance testing.
- Identify, log, monitor issues and defects through to resolution, including liaison with internal teams and third parties to resolve and manage complex issues.
- Capture and maintain testing results, default logs and produce outcome reports.
- Communicate effectively with all internal teams and third parties.
- Integrate, communicate and work effectively as part of the Testing Team.
- Ensure testing activities are completed within required timelines according to the project schedule.
- Gain an adequate level of understanding of systems functionality in order to effectively conduct testing
