Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will possess excellent technical knowledge of building servicesengineering, with either a mechanical or electrical bias. They will be responsible for identifyingand implementing energy-saving opportunities within our facilities. This role requirescollaboration with our in-house Facilities Management (FM) team and their supply chain, aswell as working closely with our skilled team of engineers.Key Responsibilities:? Utilize expertise in building management systems (BMS) to identify energy cost-savingopportunities and conduct site surveys.? Collaborate with the in-house FM team and BMS service providers to makeadjustments to strategies and settings, ensuring optimal energy efficiency.? Project manage energy-saving control projects, including cost estimation andverification of cost-saving impacts.? Demonstrate proficiency with TREND BMS Systems and other relevant technologies.? Scope and deliver energy projects, including calculating savings, preparing scopes ofwork, and producing business cases for investment.? Conduct audits on contractors, ensuring compliance with project specifications.? Prepare witnessing and commissioning schedules to ensure designed energyperformance criteria are met at handover.? Provide training and support to in-house maintenance engineers.? Work closely with the Estates and Capital Projects team to integrate energy-savinginitiatives into broader facility management strategies.
