Job summary
Applicants are invited for the above post which is available from February 2024 for 8 months fixed term contract until 2nd October 2024 . Terms and conditions of service are as for ST3+ (SpR) level. The average hours of duty are 40 hours per week
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide care for inpatients with rheumatologic disorders, do ward rounds, supervise day care, and liaise with nursing staff over discharge planning. There are opportunities for further training in outpatient clinics in inflammatory arthritis and general rheumatology. In addition he/she will write clinic letters and discharge reports.
About us
The rheumatology department at the Royal Free Hospital is a major centre for the diagnosis and management of general and acute rheumatological conditions and specialises in connective tissue disorders. In addition the department is very active in acute medicine, sarcoidosis, psoriatic arthritis, and autoimmune inflammatory conditions in general. There are also excellent opportunities for postgraduate training and research. The post holder will work closely with the existing SpRs, Consultant staff of the department, and the rheumatology clinical fellows and FY1 doctor, abd specialist nurses.
