An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Orthopaedic Therapy Team as a Band 6 Physiotherapist in Trauma and Orthopaedics at Barnet Hospital, within the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.
The Orthopaedic team is made up of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Therapy Support Workers. As a senior member of the team you will assess and treat patients with a variety of orthopaedic injuries, including neck of femur fractures, upper limb, lower limb, and spinal injuries, working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure excellent patient care throughout the patient journey. They must be flexible to fluctuating priorities, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and be able to demonstrate efficient and effective discharge planning. They will need to apply excellent communication skills with MDT colleagues, including attending daily board rounds, MDT and other meetings.
You will be required to teach, supervise and appraise junior staff and students, whilst being supported by highly skilled and experienced band 7 therapists. You will also be expected to have an active role in developing the orthopaedic service on each site.
This is a permanent, full time (37.5 hour) position. The post holder will also be required to work bank holidays and weekends, in line with the department's 7-day working policy.
