Job summary

Band 7 Senior Charge Nurse Radiology

  • The post holder will be expected to liaise appropriately with all key members of the multi-disciplinary team and service users witihin Interventional Radiology.
  • To be responsible for all aspects of patient care including the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of direct patient care.
  • To take overall responsibility for ensuring the accuracy of the Quality & Safety within Interventional Radiology and daily monitoring of staffing levels.
  • To monitor and ensure a positive focussed service incorporating patients' feedback to improve patient care.
  • To be responsible for the supervision and development of all staff including student nurses and support workers, providing support, advice and training.
  • To effectively manage the ward resources, i.e. non-pay budget, human resource and the clinical environment.
  • To ensure compliance of mandatory training and appraisal requirements for all nursing staff.
