Job summary

This is a fixed term opportunity within the Post Graduate Medical Education Team.
This person will be responsible for coordinating medical education activities within the Post Graduate Medical Education team
Including the following:
- Co-ordinate the delivery of junior doctors' medical education programmes within the Post Graduate Education department
- Coordinate the delivery of foundation and specialist training programmes for junior doctors and monitor their progress and performance
- Plan and support induction processes for doctors in training
- Provide administrative support to clinical departments with Local Faculty Group meetings
- Support the Medical Education Manager and Service Managers in the delivery of PGME improvement projects and workstreams
- Provide administrative support for doctors' study leave applications with use of the Intrepid database
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate sound previous administrative experience, they must also possess excellent customer service skills to be able to work in collaboration with others and demonstrate an ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing demands.
Main duties of the job
Contribute to the planning and review of the induction processes fordoctors in training (corporate and departmental)
Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures acrossall administrative functions of the PGME service to ensure the provisionof an efficient and effective service
Contribute to the development of evaluation systems for all medicaleducation activities and make recommendations for service improvementwhere required
Deliver quality improvement projects to improve performance levelswithin the team
Work with colleagues in other Education and OD functions to support thedevelopment of shared learning centres across the Trust, identifyingopportunities for common systems and processes able to support a full range of education and development activities across all professionalgroups across all sites. This will involve development andimplementation of policies for a number of common functions includingeducational facilities, room booking systems, inductions, e-learning, frontof house services and evaluation methods
