Here is an exciting leadership opportunity for you to join us as a Cancer Recovery Programme Director .
As subject matter expert you will oversees the improvement, delivery and transformation of Cancer performance and pathways for the organisation, ensuring that it serves the needs of the local residents, population, and lead sustainable improvement against national cancer standards. The post holder will work in collaboratively with system partners especially the community services and primary care with regular updates to the ICB and the regional teams.
The Cancer Recovery Director will lead the development of an integrated improvement plan underpinned by individual cancer pathways encompassing pathway transformation, left shift and cancer quality and outcomes.

Main duties of the job
- Be required to build strong influential relationships with all staff within the MSE Hospitals and beyond, through appropriate engagements with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure that all stakeholders, including Senior Clinicians, are appropriately engaged with implementation arrangements, and regularly briefed on progress against key Programme milestones.
- Ensure high levels of stakeholder engagement at all times, the post holder will be communicating highly contentious information proposing major change in service delivery as part of the Cancer recovery programme.

- Professional background with degree ideally in healthcare or health related subject
- Project Management qualification
- Quality Improvement qualification
- Educated to Master's degree or equivalent level of experience working at a senior level in specialist area
Desirable
- Professional Financial Qualification or equivalent commercial experience

- Extensive involvement in leading significant and complex projects in the NHS,
- Significant proven track record of achievement in change management in a large and complex customer-facing organisation, including the NHS
- Extensive track record of successfully developing and maintaining high quality Cancer Portfolio arrangements and using improvement methodology to provide structure and rigour to programme delivery, reporting and accountability
- Extensive track record of successfully managing very senior relationships across multiple partner organisations drawing on high levels of self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and personal credibility to create positive relationships for change based on trust and confidence
- Extensive experience of developing and implementing improvement strategies
