Job summary
This role allows an enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our Critical Care and Respiratory team, who have wide ranging clinical experience, good communication and interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high quality patient-centred care.
Join our friendly and supportive team of therapists, where continuous professional development, research and quality improvement processes are encouraged .There is a well-established in-service education programme, where you can build upon your clinical and managerial skills with support from senior clinical leads.
Candidates will be expected to join and partake in our overnight emergency on call rota and weekend working rotas and previous experience of working within respiratory / Critical Care field is essential. You will also be expected to work as part of a seven day rota.
Main duties of the job
Within this role you will need:
- Be responsible for the Physiotherapy intervention for patients admitted to CCU and the acute respiratory adult in patient ward
- To undertake assessments of respiratory out patients as require
- Prioritise physiotherapy referrals in order to implement effective and timely caseload management
- Determine clinical diagnosis and provide physiotherapy treatment indicated as an autonomous practitioner, developing appropriate care plans, giving specialist clinical/professional advice to patients, carers and other Health Care Professionals
