Job summary
This appointment is for a full-time Locum Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist to complement our existing team, addressing the long wait times for Gynaecological appointments.
This post includes gynaecology clinic, gynaecology operating and hysteroscopy. There may be some flexibility in adding sessions in colposcopy.
Main duties of the job
o The post holder will also be expected to contribute to the development of innovative pathways and work with the multidisciplinary team to manage the demands of the busy Service in close collaboration with the local and regional needs.
o To build on the already-established pathways between all sites within the MSE Trust, to optimise patient pathways and support further development of the network.
o Work with the multidisciplinary team to undertake a senior role in the general provision of Obstetric and Gynaecological Services at Basildon Hospital and MSE.
