Applications are invited for Band 2 Health Care Assistant to work within our department of elderly care wards.

Chalkwell is a 34 bedded care of the elderly ward that meet the holistic needs of patients with variety of medical conditions, including end of life care. It has an exceptionally dedicated team, and we are looking for highly motivated, compassionate and enthusiastic individual to join our team. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills, high sense of professionalism and a strong belief in the value of teamwork.

Main duties of the job

To work as part of the multidisciplinary team ensuring the delivery of a high standard of care to the patients.

Day to day, you'll work under the supervision of our registered staff to help:

Wash and dress patientsMonitor and record clinical observationsSupport patients to eat and drinkHelp patients move aroundMake beds and maintain a clean, safe clinical areaTalk to patients and their familiesPerform specialised skills such as ECG, blood sugar monitoringManage stock levels for linen and other supplies
