Job summary
We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Outpatients team within the world renowned St Andrew's Centre for Plastic Surgery.
The department is the hub for the plastic surgery services across the region, with spoke clinics in other locations and both adult and children's trained nurses work alongside each other treating patients of all ages.
We are seeking nurses who are required to work in the minor operations theatre within our outpatient service. An interest in reconstructive surgery is essential and candidates must have excellent organisational and communication skills.

Main duties of the job
- Providing excellent and safe care to a variety of patients.
- Promoting Trust values and behaviors.
- Delivering advanced wound care.
- Delivering Nursing care within our Outpatient Day Surgery Unit.
- Delivering Nursing care within our procedure room acting as either a scrub or circulating Nurse.
- Providing safe pre, peri and post operative care to plastic surgery patients.
- Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Contributing to service improvement strategies and data collection.
- Contributing to wider research projects within the Plastic Surgery department.
