Job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Respiratory Consultant with a specialist interest in Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) to lead and shape the future of our ILD service. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic clinician to take a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care across the entire ILD pathway.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving service development, championing clinical excellence, and contributing to education, training, and continuous quality improvement within our dedicated respiratory team.

Main duties of the job
Your role will be to partake in a 1:15 rota on call for General Medicine, this will attract a Category B 1% on-call supplement.
You will be expected to promote a friendly and team based working environment - in line with our Trust Values, the teaching of primary care colleagues and junior medical staff through mixture of case-based review and formal teaching activity, undertaking managerial and budgetary responsibilities as required and mandatory involvement in annual appraisals.
Our Respiratory service has facilities and links for the development of Research work and the hospital has an active audit department to which respiratory division tends to contribute to the major national audits on the regular basis.

- MRCP (or equivalent)
- Possession of a CCST in General & Respiratory Medicine (or within 6 months of the award at the time of interview) and / or inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register.

- Postgraduate qualification

- Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining UK CCST in respiratory and general medicine
- Expertise in Lung cancer
