Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic pharmacy assistant to join our Pharmacy IT Team. As a newly merged Trust with three acute hospital sites, Pharmacy rolled out successfully the ePMA System used at Southend to our Basildon site. The successful candidate will be working within the Pharmacy IT Team as crucial first-line support to all staff within the Trust who use the ePMA system along with all other systems that are

With major projects running alongside a 'business as usual' service for this critical system, the Pharmacy IT Team welcome new team members to join this friendly, high-energy and enterprising team of Pharmacy IT specialists.

Working from home will be considered after an initial training period; provided this does not impact the service. The team manager reserves the right to request that staff attend the office during working hours if and when deemed necessary.

Main duties of the job

Typical aspects of the role include:

- Undertaking training on the EPMA system- Answering support calls on a dedicated helpline- Basic support tasks such as password resets, account building and amendments- Triaging queries to the project and permanent teams- Running reports and other administrative tasks- Assisting in project work- Carrying out essential safety checks/tasks on the system- Some cross-site working requirements- Some Pharmacy Dispensary involvement

The roles are for a 9 - 5 Monday to Friday service, however some degree of flexibility can be considered; provided this does not affect the service operating hours.
