Job summary

Our Emergency department are looking for a flexible, hardworking, and willing Housekeeper to join its friendly, supportive 'ED family' to become an integral member of the team to facilitate a clean and safe EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT environment.

As our Housekeeper you will be required to work 37.5 hrs per week including weekend and bank holidays.

Main duties of the job

On a daily basis, you will liaise with the matron/senior nurse on duty and nursing staff to identify and undertake all non-clinical tasks, to establish a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere and environment for patients, visitors and staff.

Your role will be to keep our environment clean, tidy, stocked and facilitate refreshments for our patients to facilitate a clean and safe ward environment.

You will be required to maintain good levels of communication with the Unit team , patients and all other members of the MDT teams and to act in a courteous and appropriate manner with patients and relatives.

The job description is not exhaustive and requires the post holder to be flexible to meet the needs of the developing service.
