Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a pharmacist to join the Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust pharmacy team. The position will be based at Basildon site, where you will be part of an innovative team, and be involved in many exciting projects to promote and deliver high quality clinical service to our patients.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious pharmacist with excellent clinical knowledge and organisational skills. You will be working closely with the multidisciplinary teams located at the three sites in Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust. This will be a great opportunity to develop your clinical leadership role and play an active part in change management projects.

Main duties of the job
- Working closely with the multidisciplinary team and taking a proactive and leading role in implementing evidence based practice
- Training of the pharmacy and multidisciplinary teams including Trainee, Foundation and Specialist pharmacists
- Management of medicine shortages, ensuring that risk assessments are completed where required.
- Deputise for the clinical lead pharmacist where necessary including governance and clinical meetings.
- Develop and implement new protocols and procedures, and assist in development of pharmaceutical aspects of policies.
- Proactive in taking part in research opportunities.
- Develop your existing role as an independent prescriber, or working towards this goal.
